1. What you wear depends on the position you are seeking for. You have to dress the part! If you are working as a clerk, dress properly, and not as if you have just dropped by the mall with your jeans and tops. What you look like during the interview, it matters.

2. Find out something about the company you are applying for. If they have dress codes, maybe you can follow, so you can suit your fashion according to their company culture. 

3. Smart casual is usually the safest fashion, do not wear too formal, or too informal or too hip or too conservative. Yung sakto lang. One thing that's important, match your clothes to your shoes. They may not be able to see what shoes you wear, but it helps that you wear comfortable footwear, but not slippers. 

4. When you wear something for the interview, remember that you are not presenting yourself for a date, nor a gimmick, nor a prom, you are presenting yourself for a job that might give you a career, more so a future. 

5. Do not wear too much bling-blings. Wearing too many jewelries might give the interviewer the notion that you do not need a job, at all because you are too rich for the work you are applying for.

6. Spray little perfume, not the type that would trigger asthma to the one interviewing you or the people you would brush shoulders with. Simple and fragnant is good. But not too fragrant.

7. Simple is beautiful! Always remember this. This could be your ticker to a very good career!

If only we understand how precious our relationship with other people are, we would find it in our hearts to appreciate their existence.

Just like our bosses, our employees and the people surrounding us in our workplaces, they make life a little more meaningful. They may be hard to understand at times, but there are times they make life a little easier for us all. 

However we make of them in our lives, they deserve respect and appreciation if they do well. A tap in the shoulder, a "Good Job", a smile, or a note to tell them you appreciate them in their deeds are enough to make their hearts melt for a while, and to inspire them to do better the next time.

Sometimes though we fall short of these things, maybe because of the busy schedule we have that we do not care less, but what matters most is letting them know how much you appreciate what they have done, or you have concern for them in the manner of correction to make them well.

For our first job on board: Software Engineer

With the creation of the ICT/IT course being offered by many educational institutions, most of them offer Electronics Communications Engineering, Computer Engineer, Software Engineering and a few more I could not mention. However, one of the most hard to fill jobs include the Software Engineer and these are what entails that job.

Task

• Researching, designing, writing and testing new software programmes;

Education and Training

A bachelor's degree, usually in Computer Systems Engineering or Computer Science Software Engineering or Mathematics. Knowledge in Microsoft and Oracle Programs is an advantage for this job.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Ability to create functional and technical design specifications for development efforts;
• Proficiency in programming skills, including familiarity with data types, syntax and control structures;
• Adept at debugging complex applications problems and ability to produce quality software documentation, including requirements specifications;
• Analytical skills;
• Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (especially the ability to understand client needs and communicate proposed solutions effectively).
